Aqua and red and pink

The Tsunamis are all moving bedrooms in a month or so (whenever we get around to putting lockable doors upstairs). They are moving upstairs and we are coming downstairs. The girls will share a room together (just as my sister and I did all our young lives) and Maxi-T will be just across the hall. Downstairs will be us and a new playroom slash study (yippee!)

I am having such fun planning how things might look (MORE aqua and red and pink on my pinterest board), but I am curiously in no hurry to make the move. It means The Badoo comes out of a cot and into a big bed... a move that has never gone down well at our place. Our children just love spending time with us too much and unless we cage them in, they are up and down like yo-yos.

Cappers' fave colour is blue and The Badoo's is pink. Just awful together - I can't think of a worse combination except maybe for green and yellow (sorry Australia). So I figured I'd make Cappers' blue more of an aqua, add my favourite red/ white and highlight the lot with a bit of Badoo pink.

oOoOo i LOVE those three colours together! i love when i come across colour combinations that i'd never considered before. one of my fav combinations is purple and green - most people screw their nose up at first but they really compliment each other.

i'm a colour gal - the more the better!

I am sniggering about the quote:

"Boy: A Noise with dirt on it." Love it, although in our house I could probably change it to Child instead of boy...

Lovin the colour scheme! I have the most of the fabric pictured in my fabric stash

Great colours - specially all together.

Yes - I love that quote on the wall too. (Thinking I might embroider it on a t-shirt for the little man in our house!)

I have been working on a similar colour combo for my daughter's room, inspired by the embroidery and fabric at this shop. www.etsy.com/shop/alittlesweetness

I will check back to compare notes with you as we go...it is just the most sublime combination!

How did I miss this post the first time?

This colour combo is just beautiful, and having the kids move upstairs sounds a little delightful (as does the idea of an actual study room and separate bedroom space for you and LOYL)... have fun with the changes AND the decorating (which is the best bit). xx

I don't know how I didn't see this when you first posted it.

But there are no words for how much I love this colour combination. What I wouldn't do for a girl to do this for!!!!
