52 Weeks of Grateful: Click-Clack

I got a little dressed up on Thursday. I went clickety-clack into the school yard and quite a few heads turned. Usually I swan around merrily in frizzy clothes, blotchy hair and daggy skin. Ah, my signature look.

It was nice to make an effort for a change. Back in the day I was a 'glam' sort of girl and it's good to know she's still in there... somewhere.

So, this week I'm grateful for...

221. Click-Clack heels - they sound like you're pretty.

222. Healthy kids - we must never take them for granted.

223. Flushing toilets - seriously. Imagine life without them.

This week I'm also ever-so grateful for baking... do stop by to visit me at Kidspot and leave us your baking go-to recipe. I have time to bake and I'm on the hunt for inspiration!

Join our Grateful community by adding your post to the list below (please add a link back to our list here or at Kidspot). Visit some of the other lovely link-ups - it's a beautiful way to spend a little time. Oh, and it would be lovely if everyone visited a few of the 'late arrivals'  to the list each week... it's sad to be late and not get any love, don't you think?

Do you like the new 'thumbnail' style of linky? I thought it brightened us up a bit!

[Image found on weheartit, no idea whose feet these are but they are definitely prettier than mine!]

yes I LOVE the thumbnail linky!! Yay for pictures :)
And those pink suede heels look mighty purty.

Frizzy clothes? Blotchy hair? Daggy skin?? Your wittiness just floors me. You are TOO FUNNY.
xxxx

PS I am SO grateful for flushing loos. Wasn't too long ago that Scrag flushed a yoghurt pot down ours and blocked it up for two days. NO FLUSHING LOSS SUCKS!!!

Love the shoe pic... although I don't think I could walk in them!

Nice to see your face on your blog to! :-)

Flushing loos... hmmm... I'm soon to embark on a two-week road trip that I know will involve loos, without the flush. Drop dunnys are disgusting... but I suppose better than digging a hole!

I do feel so glamorous in heels! The perfect 'pick me up' when i'm drowning in mums duties & tracky dacks..x

I'm always grateful for flushing loos.
Not for heels - I'd do myself an injury on the school run!
Love the thumbnails too

Isn't it fun to get 'togged up' occasionally ... high heels always make your calves look fantastic!
I am always, always grateful for healthy kids. Amen.

Ooh, i like your new profile picture thing - very pretty! Sorry if it isn't so new, blog reading has been down on my list lately, but it caught my eye just now.
Yeah its good to know we can look good every now and then. I got dressed up this morning too. Nice dress, heels, curled hair. Stayed in my bedroom but, just wanted to know if i still had it. I do!
Right, I'm back onto grateful this week.
And healthy kids I'm grateful for every day. x

Love love love the click clack!

I was in the grocery store and this woman was wearing her most excellent pumps, clicking and clacking down frozen foods. I felt just a bit frumpy is my non-clicking ballet flats!

I love my click clack shoes! You're right - they do sound pretty.
Thanks for the great linky!
I'm having a bit of trouble linking but will work it out ...

Nope. Can't link up. No doubt a problem at my end. My gratitude is over at http://deepfriedfruit.blogspot.com.au/2012/03/day-900.html
Thanks (as usual) for being the gratitude queen. Keeps us grounded and gives us perspective.

I am grateful that bubs stayed in for another week.

My 4 year old calls high heels click clack shoes too - ever since she was 2 because she would put mine on and click clack down the hall

You always make me think out of the box Bron. And now I am very grateful for flushing toilets!
And I still get a kick out of wearing heels (especially as I hardly ever wear them) - that sound still brings a but of girlie excitement to my day.
My Little Miss has some hard soled shoes (not heels) that she calls her "Tappy tappy" shoes. Her love affair has started early I think.
Happy weekend! xx

In the event that the technology goes awry, just wanted to let you know that I'm playing along!

I once read an article where a father was reflecting on his child having cancer. What struck me was that he said we were happy before, but we should have been happier. Health is such a precious thing.

ashley said...
